Description:
The live attenuated strains of the poliomyelitis types 1 and 3 (Sabin strain) viruses are suspended in the oral polio vaccine bivalent. Each dose contains at least 106.0 CCID50 of the type 1 strain of the virus and 105.8 CCID50 of the type 3 strain of the virus. As a stabilizer, this vaccine comprises one mole of magnesium chloride (MgCl2), along with the antibiotics Kanamycin Acid Sulphate and Neomycin Sulphate. The vaccine complies with WHO criteria for Types 1 & 3 Bivalent Poliomyelitis Vaccine (Oral).

Method of Administration:
This vaccine is administered Orally. Two drops from the multi-dose vial are delivered directly into the mouth by a dropper or dispenser.

Contraindications:
Immunodeficiency - People with HIV infection, whether they are symptomatic or asymptomatic, should receive the vaccination in accordance with the recommended schedule. A primary immunodeficiency condition or a medication-induced suppression of the immune system, such as leukemia, lymphoma, or generalized malignancy, are contraindications to receiving the vaccine.

Storage:
Until the expiration date printed on the vial, it is advised to store this vaccine at a temperature of -20°C or lower. But at any point throughout the shelf life, the vaccine can be stored between +2°C and +8°C.
