Newcastle Disease Vaccine (Mesogenic Strain R.B.) or Ranikhet Disease Vaccine, Live, Mesogenic Strain ‘R.B.’ I.P.

Description:

This 'RB' strain vaccine has been shown not to cause stress, lameness, and mortality, which were common features of available R2B strain vaccines until recently. However, there is no significant decrease in egg production. Broilers can be vaccinated at 3-4 weeks of age.The vaccine contains live, attenuated Ranikhet disease ‘RB’ strain virus propagated in SPF chicken eggs, in freeze dried form. 

It has been shown to confer robust immunity in vaccinated chicks for 9 months under normal conditions. It has been used to control the development of Ranikhet disease within 48 hours when co-administered with the 'F' strain vaccine.

This vaccine is safe for birds under 5 weeks, There is no post-vaccination stress, lameness or mortality. Recommended for use during outbreak as a booster.

Immunization with the 'RB' vaccine is recommended to control outbreaks in combination with oral Ranikhet disease 'F' strain vaccine.

Composition:

The vaccine contains ≥ 105EID50 virus per dose.

Method of Administration:

By Intramuscular injection into the thigh region of chicks.

0.5 ml per bird

Shelf Life:

24 Months for the Manufacture

 

Storage:

Store the vaccine at 2o-8°C. Chill the dilutions on ice 1 hour before starting the vaccination. Always keep reconstituted vaccine on ice during vaccination and use it within 2 hours.
