Description:
Recombinant Human Epidermal Growth Factor is a topical gel used to speed healing of the types of ulcers as Diabetic foot ulcers, Pressure ulcers, Vascular ulcers, Chronic leg ulcers Epidermal growth factor is a small mitogenic protein involved in mechanisms such as normal cell proliferation and wound healing, reducing healing time.
Foot ulcers (foot ulcers) are a serious complication of uncontrolled diabetes caused by the breakdown of tissue beneath the skin layer. The most common locations for diabetic foot ulcers (DFU) are the big toe and heel. DFU is caused by poor blood flow to the affected area, sensory impairment due to nerve damage, and immune system dysfunction. All are associated with high blood sugar levels in diabetes. Risk factors for DFU include poor hygiene, poor quality shoes, inadequate nail clipping, alcohol consumption, diabetic eye disease, heart disease, kidney disease, obesity and tobacco use (restriction of blood flow). Care and cause DFU.If neglected, infected foot ulcers can lead to amputation.

Dosage:
Apply after cleaning the ulcer area, apply gel to cover the full area which and is to be spread evenly (topical application) on the affected part using a sterile cotton swab twice a day till the ulcer area heals. The therapy should be continued up to a period of 2 to 3 weeks. The continuation of the therapy is at the discretion of the physician.

Indication:
This product is indicated for topical healing of neuropathic and diabetic foot ulcers.

Presentation:
This gel is available in 7.5 g & 15 g and is stable at room temperature.
Contraindications:
This product is generally well tolerated. However the product should not be administered to the person showing hypersensitivity to any of the components of this product. Also it should not be administered to an individual receiving an immune stimulant or immunosuppressive in an immunocompromised patient.

Possible side effect:
Side Effects include Dizziness, headache, nausea, abdominal pain, rash and pruritus
